Thanks for coming by the Christian Beer Connoisseur. The intent of this site is to share information about beer with those who like to enjoy great beers in moderation, and share the message of Jesus Christ.
If you are under the legal drinking age, I would like to invite you back when you reach the appropriate age, I do not condone underage drinking.
I realize that some of the content here will be controversial. The comment section will be open, and I would encourage community involvement. I do ask that you keep the language clean, and be respectful.
Biblical references in this site will be from the New Living Translation (NLT) you can find the scripture at www.bible.com.
I believe that drinking in moderation is fine. If you are struggling with alcoholism, I sincerely encourage you to seek help. I do not want to tempt you to drink, and despite how much I would like to have you here, I would ask that you not visit the site. Romans 14:13 says, “So let’s stop condemning each other. Decide instead to live in such a way that you will not cause another believer to stumble and fall.”
I will cover a variety of topics on:
† Christianity
† What the Bible says about beer/drinking
† History of beer
† The brewing process
† Beer reviews
And more! So, if you are ready, pull up a stool and grab a pint.
Cheers!

Howdy all,
Currently my fav brew is O’Fallon brewery’s “Smoked porter” (ofallonbrewery.com) although Boulevard’s Zon is a close 2nd.
The Bible is about relationships (The one you have with Jesus, being priority!) and could there be a better beverage than beer to drink, while continuing a relationship with your closest friend OR starting a relationship with your newest friend! Absolutely not! Can you imagine getting into the meaning of life, your purpose here on earth or who’s gonna win the fantasy league over a WINE COOLER….Ugh, Don’t even go there.
Let me finish with a great quote -
“If you ever reach total enlightenment while drinking beer, I bet it makes beer shoot out your nose.”

@ John,
Two very nice beer choices, indeed!
I agree, the only thing I can think about doing with wine coolers is…well, nothing
Thanks for coming by, enjoy the site.

Tonight I tried Shiner “Blonde” by the Spoetzl brewery in Texas (www.shiner.com)
Blonde is a nice full flavored lager that has a mild resiny smell with a clean light color. The taste was typical american lager that drank pretty well.
Overall not my fav, but a good summer beer. It gets a 5 on John-o-meter!
Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.

@ Melissa,
I almost had to delete this comment!!! Just kidding.
You know I will find you a beer you like. Pete’s Wicked Strawberry Blonde may not be a bad choice.

Melissa,
Even saying the “W” word is a sin here!!
Try a O’Fallon “Wheach” and you will be coverted.
Welcome Scott!

Glad to have found this website. I am a Christian and a huge fan of craft beer. I am also somewhat of a homebrewer. I appreciate all the commentary, keep it up. We need to try to change the drunken light beer culture to people that can moderately enjoy a real beer socially with family and friends.

I just drank a beer called Dark Lord Imperial Stout that was awesome but very hard to get. I’ll be posting the review of it tomorrow. In the mean time, we have a lot of beer reviews on the site. Since we are talking about beers and favorite beers, this might be a very relevant article to read. Here it is. http://thankheavenforbeer.com/2009/03/12/whats-your-favorite-beer/
